We’re looking for a Lead Front-End Engineer with a specialized focus on Tailwind CSS and significant experience in modern JavaScript frameworks. This part-time, remote role requires 15-20 hours per week, collaborating with a global team that includes UX/UI designers, product managers, and engineers. Compensation is equity-based, calculated according to your hourly rate, with the opportunity to negotiate goal-based incentives such as cash payments upon successful grant victories and VC fundraising milestones.

In this role, you’ll have the unique opportunity to implement your work on a weekly basis directly to our beta platform, beta.bidsale.eu. As the Lead Front-End Engineer, you’ll also have a chance to hire, interview, mentor, and lead a team of front-end engineers. Additionally, your insights will help shape the product roadmap, prioritization, and strategy as we grow.

The main objectives of this role include ideating, strategizing, and implementing best-in-class map views that render multiple data points in real-time to deliver a unique customer experience. You will also integrate real-time notification systems tailored to various customer types, similar to platforms like Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, Uber, and Robinhood. BidSale represents over 300,000 auctions in the EU annually, with tens of millions of data points derived from judiciary auctions, legal datasets, property data, market data, historical data, images, videos, PDFs, and more.

You’ll work closely with an experienced, diverse team from across the globe—collaborating with professionals from the Netherlands, Mexico, India, Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Malta, the UK, Ireland, the USA, and Sweden.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with product managers, data engineers, back-end engineers, and data scientists to bring new BidSale features to life.
  • Integrate data flows with the data engineering team to ensure a fluid, data-driven user experience.
  • Deploy weekly updates to the beta platform, beta.bidsale.eu, ensuring high-quality performance and user experience.
  • Lead and mentor a team of front-end engineers, including conducting interviews and overseeing their professional development.
  • Influence the roadmap, prioritization, and product strategy through data-driven insights and recommendations.
  • Code in React JS, JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, and Native JS for maintainable, clean front-end solutions.
